Age is Just a Number by Everyone Active is looking to encourage a greater number of older people to get physically and mentally active this October and November!
What is Age is Just a Number?
Everyone Active has launched its third year of the Age is Just a Number campaign, as we aim to encourage people of all ages to get active or try out a new activity this year. Not only will this help increase their fitness levels, but it’s likely to have a positive impact on their mental health, as well as improving mobility and social interaction.
We offer a wide range of activities that are great for everyone and we also deliver specialised classes developed to appeal to older people. With more than 220 centres all over England, these activities are easy to access, too. You can sign up below to find out more about them and start your exercise journey right now!
By signing up, you will receive information on the campaign, exercise videos for all abilities, and inspirational videos from our fantastic senior members!
This year, we’re delighted to be supporting Silver Sunday by sharing information about the more than 400 weekly sessions that we run dedicated to older people across our facilities. These regular activity sessions help senior customers meet new people, keep active and can be a great way to reduce loneliness and isolation.
Silver Sunday was launched in Westminster in 2012 by The Sir Simon Milton Foundation, a Westminst…er-based charity, and Lady Christabel Flight. The project was set up to combat the loneliness experienced by older residents in the city of Westminster and to encourage community interaction through an annual day of events.
