Recently renamed after the Paralympic hero, the David Weir Leisure Centre offers the local community a huge variety of different ways to stay active. Whether you want to make use of the state-of-the-art gym, or take advantage of our comprehensive programme of group fitness classes, you’re sure to find something for you. We also offer activities such as table tennis, gymnastics and athletics, while we can also help keep the kids entertained at our thrilling soft play area.

Gym
This facility has now reopened and available for booking.
Our gym is stocked with the latest resistance and cardio equipment, helping us to help you get toned and stronger, or lose weight and get fitter. On hand is a team of Fitness Motivators and GP Referral specialists, who are happy to assist wherever possible.
Athletics Track
This facility has now reopened and available for booking.
Whatever the weather, our indoor and outdoor athletic facilities are available throughout the year. As well as running tracks, we also have jump pits and throwing cages, as well as pole vaulting and javelin equipment. Furthermore, our junior sessions are great way introduce children to athletics.
Everyone On Demand
Stay active anywhere with Everyone On Demand, whether that's a BODYCOMBAT class at home with Les Mills On Demand or a personalised audio programme with WithU, there is something for everyone. Everyone On Demand provides unlimited access to Les Mills on Demand, WithU, FLEX by FitnessOnDemand and EXI. This gives you the freedom to participate in your favourite classes but also try some new ones as well. Everyone On Demand isn't limited to classes, take advantage of the virtual coach, tailored fitness plans as well the NHS approved app EXi. Everyone On Demand is completely free for members or only £9.99 a month for non-members.
Group Fitness Studio
Following the Government lockdown announcement this facility is closed until further notice.
Our group fitness studio plays host to a variety of different classes. Whatever your fitness goals may be, you’re sure to find the right class for you, while the social nature of the sessions means you can meet new people too.
Soft Play
