Climbing Wall

Our climbing facilities are suitable for complete beginners as well as offering challenging routes for more experienced climbers

These great facilities include:

• Eight 13m top roped lines, four 7m top roped lines with grades from 3+ to 7b, all set on our multi-angled Beacon walls
• Bouldering wall up to 3.5m with 50 ‘blocs’ graded from VB to V7
• Our impressive ‘fang’ stalactite feature is a classic challenge at West 1 requiring some problem solving to wrestle up and over!
• Training area with Campus Board and light gym equipment
• Viewing balcony, friends and family can watch whilst you enjoy your climb.

Our climbing sessions include:

NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes) 7-11 years and 12+ years

National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (NICAS) gives your child the skills they need to become a competent, confident climber. And it’s a real chance to achieve an award, meet other young climbers and develop their team-working skills. For ages 7+. This scheme takes place with a ratio of 1 instructor: 6 children. Book any of the sessions using our online system.

• Running 50 weeks per year
• Structured sessions with our coaching team
• NICAS Logbook to track your progress and achieve Level Certificates

Wild Climbers

For children under 7 who are really committed to learning to climb, there’s Wild Climbers club, where kids will get to climb with the same coach and friends each week. Space at the club is really limited so you’ll need to book in advance for each term. The club takes place with a ratio of 1 instructor:4 children.

Pay & Play 7-12 years

• 90 minute sessions
• Learn new climbing and problem solving skills with our coaching team

Pay & Play 5-6yrs

• 60 minute sessions
• Casual climbing session for 5-7 year olds
• Fully instructed by one of our experienced coaches

Adult Climbing Courses

• Beginners, get started on your climbing journey with our beginners courses
• Learn to Lead, improve your climbing experience and skills with this developmental course
• 3 x 2 hour sessions

Adult Climbing Taster Session

• 60 minute sessions
• Open climbing taster is open to anyone wanting to experience what climbing is all about
• Fully instructed by one of our experienced coaches
• Learn roped climbing and bouldering

Private Instructed Sessions

• 1:1 to 1:4 ratio with our experienced coaches
• Bespoke 60 or 90 minute sessions designed to suit your needs
