Welcome to the Everyone Active PT Academy Powered by Archon Academy. The PT Academy gives you the ideal opportunity to break into the fitness industry and opens you up to a variety of roles from Personal Training and beyond.
Our PT Academy is powered by Archon Academy – one of the country’s leading fitness qualification providers – and which boasts years of experience in delivering first-class personal training courses, as well as a range of other fitness qualifications. All classes are regulated by Ofqual and it’s a CIMSPA Training provider, while qualifications are awarded through Transcend Awards.
As part of the Everyone Active PT Academy, you will be studying for the Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing & Personal Training. It’s perfect for both complete beginners and those with a little experience in the industry and will teach you not only how to help people reach their fitness goals, but also how to run a successful business.
What is the Everyone Active PT Academy?
The Everyone Active PT Academy Powered by Archon Academy is a dedicated academy for aspiring personal trainers. Initially based at three of our state-of-the-art leisure centres across the country – and due to expand across our estate later – the course utilises a blended learning approach, including hands-on training in the gym, online learning, and face-to-face workshops across a 12-week course.
In terms of content, here are just a few of the unique aspects that make up our remarkable course, alongside learning how to help people reach their fitness goals:
- World-class education in how to run your own PT business: We teach you everything you need to know to start and grow a successful PT business, from creating a business plan to marketing your services to managing your finances.
- Sales and marketing: We teach you how to sell your services effectively and attract new clients.
- Revolutionary tech: We have integrated Archon fitness profiling into our course, giving you access to this cutting-edge tool to test your clients, track their progress, and create personalised results-based training programs.
- Mental health considerations: We teach you how to support your clients’ mental health and well-being, as well as their physical health.
- Women’s health and menopause: We teach you about the specific needs of female clients and how to train them safely and effectively.

Which Centres are part of the PT Academy?
To begin with, there are three centres that are part of the Everyone Active PT Academy, with the course beginning in January 2024. These are Middlesbrough Sports Village, Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre and the Queen Mother Sports Centre. Although the course does adopt a blended learning approach, with much learning happening online, it is still important that you are able to get to one of these centres fairly easily in order to take part in practical classes, as well as face-to-face workshops.

How much does it cost?
The course costs £1699 and is exempt VAT, while a three-month payment plan is available.
