About this Centre
Abbey View Sports Complex boasts a variety of leisure and sports facilities to help everyone enjoy getting active with us. The centre features two all-weather tennis courts, a splash park, an athletics track and a beach volleyball court. Our track is managed in partnership with with St Albans Athletics Club, as well as other community partners. There really is something for everyone here at Abbey View.

Athletics Track
Abbey View Sports Complex's athletics track has everything you could need to practice your track and field events. Ideal for both clubs and individuals to use, there’s a 400m track, discuss and hammer cage, pits for both the triple and long jump, as well as areas for the javelin, high jump, pole vault and shot put. We also have a football pitch available for hire during the winter months.
Outdoor Courts
Abbey View Sports Complex's outdoor courts can be used either for tennis or netball. So, whether you’re training or just having fun with friends, come down and have a go!
Beach Courts
Abbey View Sports Complex's beach courts allows you to enjoy both beach volleyball and beach tennis, meaning you don't have to travel to the golden sands of Miami or Rio de Janeiro to enjoy these exotic sports, but they're available farthest-flung Hertfordshire too! They're both fantastic sports that will give you a great whole-body workout that are great fun to play with friends too!
Splash Pad
What better way for the kids to cool off in the summer than in our outdoor splash park? The fountains and other water features make it perfect for kids to enjoy themselves in the outdoors. The Splash Pad is open 10:00-18:00 daily until 10th September 2023 when we close for winter. No booking is required for the Splash Pad, just turn up!

St Albans Athletics Club offers general training sessions for younger children and specialist coaching for older children and adults.
Striders Running Club
The Striders Running club is open to to everyone, regardless of your experience or ability level. Whether you're just starting out or a regular competitor,, everyone is welcome!
Athena Running Club
The Athena Running club is a ladies-only running club in St Albans that gives female female runners a safe, supportive and above all, fun environment in which to enjoy their hobby.
